New Orleans Real Estate - Good News!
All you have to do is turn on the tv, computer, radio and you are inundated with negative news. The sky is falling! Well, ok, things are not very good around the country and world right now. But, there may be a glimmer of hope when it comes to real estate in New Orleans!
There have been two separate articles written recently that are positive about New Orleans. Both were in the Times Picayune and both show the New Orleans Real Estate market in a positive light.
The first one spoke about the 4.4% average rise in value for single family homes in New Orleans and the second spoke about how New Orleans is in the top 8 in the nation in population increase.
Take a look at both articles:
New Orleans 4.4% appreciation
People moving to New Orleans
I think this is some pretty fantastic news for home owners in New Orleans. Not only did our home values not tank like they did everywhere else in the country, but they actually rose 4.4%. In addition, more people are moving in to New Orleans so demand has to be on the rise as well. Considering interest rates are at historic lows and some predict that they may fall even more...this may be a great time to consider buying a New Orleans home.
