FIRST-TIME HOME BUYER TAX CREDIT As Modified in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act February 2009 SO WHAT CHANGED

 • Amount of Credit from $7500 to $8000

• Now it can be used with mortgages that were bond money, prior could not.

• Do NOT have to repay

• If you sell in 3 years or less you have to give back

• Ends December 2009

• Effective as of January 2009 And if you bought in 2008 what can you or should you do File for the $7500

Thanks  for the info/heads up as I had not reviewed the make up of the new tax credit changes.  I do bond loans so obviously there was some good news here.
