There’s so much information available on the web on staging that you can expect just about every seller to use staging tactics. While staging is just another way of making a home look its best, sometimes it can be used to compensate for a homes inadequacies.
For instance, if a home uses small furniture in one of its rooms it can make buyers think the room is bigger than it actually is, especially in photographs. Sometimes stagers put rugs over ugly floors, be sure to not judge a room by its fancy rug. Other times sellers use paintings or large furniture to cover up holes and other blemishes, so be thorough in your inspection of a property and don’t be afraid to look behind large objects covering the walls.
There are so many odd stories about staging gone wrong, or people who have been fooled by staging practices – What’s your story?
