Now I do not even sell real estate in Baltimore but Margaret Rome was doing a book signing last night, her first since writing her first book Real Estate the Right Rome Way. But that was all I needed to head to the Live Baltimore event being held at the beautiful new Symphony Center apartment complex in downtown Baltimore.
Live Baltimore is a non profit organization that promotes living in one of the many wonderful neighborhoods Baltimore has to offer. Not only do they promote Baltimore but they work with and help Buyers find the perfect neighborhood, loan package and home by partnering with Lenders, Realtors and state offered closing assistance programs. They even have neighborhood ambassadors they can contact that will help a buyer learn about their chosen neighborhood. I was quite intrigued with the concept of what Live Baltimore does for the Baltimore area and for Buyers.
I was especially delighted that Margaret Woda agreed to go along with me. Such a wonderful friend and colleague she is. And she, like me, was taken with the Live Baltimore concept. Our brains were churning as to how we both could incorporate even a little bit of what Live Baltimore does into our own areas of expertise.
Spending time with two of the nicest Margaret's around, hearing the chatter of people laughing, to learn and explore a new concept of promoting an area was the best thing I did for myself during a week that was a very sad week for me personally.
By the way, I picked up Margaret Romes book and it is delightful. Its a great read for newbies and us ol' seasoned agents as well. And I finally understand what a Type E personality is really all about. Grab a copy, you won't be disappointed.
