Snow snow GO AWAY!!!!

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Christiansen Group Realty (260)704-0843

I woke up this morning FIRED UP!  I got a new listing yesterday along with two new buyers, plus I had three showing scheduled for this morning, READY TO ROCK!  Then this happened:

More snow!  I don't think we got more than two inches but my buyer wasn't comfortable driving in it and needed to reschedule for next week.  We are supposed to get 2-4 more inches today with blowing and drifting.  Man am I ready for SPRING!!!  Either Spring or a vacation to Miami.  Heck, maybe I'll just take the day off now.  :)

Funny how a little snow makes folks retreat to the couch! I worked in radio in Maine and remember the Program Director saying never never say to listeners it is snowing and you better stay home.  He said unless the Maine state police called and order folks to stay off the roads (which would not happen) tell them to provide a little more time but to remember those ads running about the same at Sam's Ski Shop pay the salaries and if Sam is advertising and the announcer is saying don't go out to the big sale...you get the picture.  States with regular snow know how to handle it..have the equipment, experience plowing and everyone is used to it!

Hi Jared, I was asking myself this morning what it is that makes this particular winter seem so endless. Enough already! We're going stir crazy in the Northeast. I feel your pain!

Only two inches? If we get more than that, showings are postponed too...but only because everyone went skiing on the fresh powder!

We haven't had any snow to speak of here in New Jersey. Maybe an inch or 2 that stayed for a day. Today is actually sunny and beautiful!!!

I guess I can stop complaining about Charlotte and Lake Norman being in the low 50's.  At least it is sunny.

We got 6 inches week before last, and yes, it scared away a couple of out of town people. But the roads were ok the next day, and most of the snow as gone in a week. I love snow!

Thanks for all the comments!  I even told my buyer I would go pick him in my big white truck...  Oh well...  I have had a nice day off.  :)

Jared... 2 inches of snow.. and you are complaining?  I'd be glad to take that little.. I'm still waiting for a real snow storm.  Say something like 24 inches.. and the storm stalls, and we get 2 more feet.  Hmmm that would be 4 feet in all.  Imagine if we got all of this.. no one would complain again if we got anything less than 6 inches.  In my opinion 2 inches isn't even worth mentioning.

People should learn how to drive in it.. it isn't that hard... remember the #1 and #2 on the drive shaft is just for this type of driving.. hint.

Ok.. I've rambled enough.
