The Crisis of Credit Visualized - How did we get to this point? You'll understand clearly after watching this!

By
Real Estate Agent with First Coast Sotheby’s International Realty

Trying to figure out just how our country could topple so quickly has bothered me for quite some time lately.  Lot's of buzz words like credit default swap, toxic asset, etc. were floated around and while I was able to understand bits and pieces, the whole thing didn't become clear until I saw Jonathan Jarvis' piece on it.  Spend the 11 min to watch this and I am sure you, as I was, will be happy, and enlightened that you did!  If you like it you can drop him an email at jonathan.jarvis@gmail.com and let him know. Warning: This does not give the solution to the crisis, only the history of it!

Janie,  Nice video but I was hoping for a big smile at the end explaining the solution...  Guess I'll wait for the sequel...

Janie,  This is a very informative video - makes the situation easier to grasp with the visual pictures.  Thanks for sharing.

Hey the Academies are tonight - don't think this is up for any award - but if it were, he could entitle it: Just Slumdogs, No Millionnaires.

Vicki - I love it, it really makes it easy and is very useful and engaging!

Alyce, Great Title, maybe we can suggest to him a slight "tweak"?

I think a better title for this whole mess should be "No country for old Lehman Brothers."  So sad Bear was allowed to live, but Lehman was crushed.  Oh well, too late now.

Janie,

This is an excellent explanation of what's going on in the credit world.  I watched the whole 11 minutes, and at each point in the presentation, thought of various players who are no longer in the game.  There's blood in the streets, yet I see the beginnings of a turnaround as homebuyers pick up the devalued homes at affordable prices.  We're still brokering mortgages, thanks to Active Rain referrals!

Brian, yes, in a very short time, so long and vernerable firms have taken the plunge.  I am sure their founders are rolling in their graves.

Mike, yes, buyers are buying like crazy here in Miami, really going nuts right now (thank goodness for everyone).
