Print Ads vs. Online Ads

By
Real Estate Agent with Real Estate Marketing Genius

It seems that the days of printed newspapers are winding down! Now I'm not telling you to stop using them for lead generation. I am telling you to track all of your ads and make sure that every ad you run pays for itself.

I have personally moved away from printed media, with the exception of post cards, and now advertise mostly online. I use google, yahoo, msn and ask mainly...but there are a few other search engines that allow you to use geographic targeting. So when I find one of these types of search engines I test it out and if its profitable I put it to work!

Start building a foundation for your business through proven marketing systems and techniques. It's easy to run a high level real estate business when you have big numbers of leads coming in. So now is the time to start generating big numbers of leads!

To you success,

P.S. I HAVE A QUICK QUESTION FOR EVERYONE!

Question: Would you rather generate your own leads everymonth or just pay a company for a few hundred leads?

Thanks!

Jason-I agree that the days of print are winding down on some level.  I tried to click on your link (marketing systems) but it doesn't appear to be working.  I find that more of our leads come from online than in print media.  However there are still quite a few people who believe that their property should still be in the paper on a regular basis for the people who are not computer savy or do not have a computer at all.   As for lead generation I would prefer to get my own than to pay for them since they are not always guaranteed leads.

It's going to be painful for printed media in the coming years.  I've seen several newspapers begin to use intrusive advertising methods on their websites such as excessive pop-up and pop-under ads in an attempt to build additional revenue.

Hi Debra,

thanks for your comment. I checked the link and it seems to be working fine now.I agree with you about getting your own leads. Why pay retail to a lead provider when you can pay wholesale with minimal time investment learning to do it yourself.

P.S I have some new content and will be updating my blog daily please feel free to comment if you enjoy or even have questions about my content.
