New Agent Needs Help

Hi all,  I just posted on the main blog but I thought I would post here as well.  I just passed my exam and am in the process of looking for a Realty agency to work with.  It is a big decision so I am still in due diligence mode.  It seems to be the big guys(Century 21, Coldwell Banker)  versus the smaller independents. I know I want excellent training but splits and training fees are causing me to hesitate.  Any advise would be most appreciated.  Gut feelings have not kicked in yet either.  Thanks so much in advance.  Adele

The name behind the company does not matter as much as the broker.  Ask the broker if they still teach classes, or how much they have to do with each agent.  I know it's impossible to be everything to every agent, but I still sit down with each of my agents every week.  Now all that being said, call me if you want good questions to ask the broker.

try posting this to the 'real estate rookie' group instead of the active rain newbie group. The active rain newbie group is for questions about using this site... not really questions about starting out in real estate. You may get a better response rate that way.

I would suggest setting up a side by side comparison chart. I'm a list person it happens to work with me. I would list all of the features/prices etc and then check off which applies at each company. Making it visual and writing it down like that always helps me center my thoughts.
