A very bright friend of mine always say "people want what they can't have." This past weekend proved his point once again. Two buyers zeroed in on homes for an offer to find they waited a "touch" too long. Both homes were in pending in less than 24 hours. The search continues.

It seems to be happening in our market too. One home in the mid 300's sold in 3 days and another in the same town (Essex) had 4 offers. That is not the norm but it is better than we have been seeing. Interestingly, I just had a referral of someone moving from Jacksonville who made an offer over the weekend in Virginia Beach. Haven't heard if he got the home or not. Let's hope the stimulus package creates more momentum.
