Activerain 1 year anniversary - Canadian friends let's celebrate!

OK so most of us are aware that at least 3 celebrations are going on this summer with our friends down south, celebrating Activerain's anniversary. Seatle, Chicago, Orlando, L.A.

Don't you guys think we should get together as well? I would love to go to Orlando or L.A., but what if we could swing it so that we could celebrate on our own home turf? Maybe someone has deals/connections to pass on: flights, somewhere to stay. Maybe we could agree on a middle ground. Some cow pasture in Alberta? Any ideas would be great. Let's dream big, people. This could really happen!

Thanks Jon, Kimberly and Larry. Of course Montreal would be great, since I live there!  And Old Montreal would be so excellent. Perfect for that Eurpoean feeling. But I also wouldn't mind travelling to accomodate other Canadian members. Or even any friends close to the Canadian border.

My vote is for Montreal as well. It has to be the best city in Canada in the summer time! I miss Montreal terribly. I haven't been back since I moved, 10 years ago :(

Perhaps some Americans on the east coast would come up to Montreal.

Yes, it would Mary! It would be great to carpool with some of you in the GTA if we do this in Montreal.

Is there a formal date set?

I honestly hadn't followed the other city plans since none are close enough to me. Although...I am desperate to get back to NYC and have plane tickets burning a hole in my desk!
