OK. saying this is great is redundant, albeit true. I used to be able to do shots like this with my SLR's but with my so/so digital I don't know how to get that type of focus. Any suggestion would be appreciated :)
Are you using a point and shoot, Kathy? As you know, they're different, not as many options. My Nikon has custom settings that allow for shooting in 'vivid' and 'more vivid'. When I shoot something colorful, I always have it set to more vivid, cuz I just love color! However, never for people - something goes terribly wrong when you shoot a person in that setting, LOL.
In these modes, it not only saturates the color, but sharpens the photo as well. Is it possible your camera offers some kinds of adjustments you haven't explored yet? And also, do you have Photoshop? You can do alot of improving with Photoshop. I often tweak my photos - truth is, any amazing photo you see, whether in print or whatever, has been 'shopped'. What camera do you have?
Deb- I haven't used any of my favorite cameras, all film in over a year. I then had 2 digital's that took pretty good photos, although they were point and shoot with some options.....now I have a cheap one a canon A590 but it does have some manual adjustments. I don't think it has the Vivid, but will check and see what it does have.
Hi Kathy, Pull it out and play! You can always make adjustments if you need to in post processing software, like Photoshop. There are also some pretty good software programs that are free online, like Gimp or Photo Filtre.
