Playing The Numbers Game When Recruiting!

When choosing a new realty company don't be impressed on how many agents the company has recruited and the free classroom training that the company offers, and how many Six figure producers the company has!!  It's nice to see that the real estate company is organized and they have a training program, and they have agents doing 20 transactions a year.  Ask them how consistent are there  agents and how much do they spend a month on advertising. I have known Six Figure Agents to spend 50K a year on marketing and there production varies from month to month.  I am more impressed with an agent that has consistently closed four deals a month for the last three years without working weekends!

I would be more impressed when you walk into a situation where you are provided a role on the team and will have task to start learning from those top producers right away, with no cost to you. I would be more impressed with being put on a successful team and getting your first pay check within 60 days of joining the realty company with a guarantee.

My philosophy has always been, if your successful hire "partners" and help them achieve there goals while reaping some of the benefits from the task that you give them.  This is a true win-win situation.

As a realtor you will realize that the company doesn't make you a success, you will make yourself a success, however to be a success as a realtor and have "time" you must be on a team or develop a team.  Top producers truly recognize "TIME MANAGEMENT."   Successful realtor's concentrate on the money making activities and hire those to do the other "activities."
As a company owner, what I do for my TOP PRODUCING agents is recruit and hire assistants for them, and to me, this is a way to keep my top producers, top producers and bring in other realtors to learn from the best while getting income coming in right away..  Most top producers have an arrogance "AND" understanding.  The arrogance that realtors have come from their marketing niche, meaning they have separated themselves from the other realtors.   The understanding that top producers have allowed them to grow a team to handle the business that comes with being a top producer. A top producer sales information and confidence.

As a real estate company I invest in my agents due to my belief in the systematic approach of having a system.  Training is what in theory is "suppose" to work. A system is an approach over time that will produce the same results time and time again.

This being said, do you have good training at your current brokerage, or do you have a system in place that gives you consistent results month after month?
