An economy of Words Wednesday - Winter Snowshoe - Woodstock NH

By
Managing Real Estate Broker with Alpine Lakes Real Estate Inc., NHRE# 02863

White Mountains , Pemigewasset River, Animal & People tracts.

A clean slate.

Coyote seen in the yard last night.

Oxbow..or secondary branch off the main river.

The main branch only a third of the river remains unfrozen.

Blow down from the last strong wind.

One mile out and time to turn around

Barely visible fence posts, are actually 4 ft tall..1/2 a mile from home.

Almost home..no need for bread crumbs.

No longer a clean slate..and a good work out as well.

Try a snow shoe, when you get ten feet of snow or more each year this is the way to see your surroundings. If you're lucky you may see many animal tracts, and no people tracts like I did today.

Steve, do you suppose it's the same coyote from my yard yesterday?

Alan, I do believe the Government is conducting an air-lift program for repopulating the eastern states, it is part of the stimulus package...not many people know it's about a thousand pages into the proposal.

Bill, ..I have a very odd shaped property along the river..It's over 5,000 feet long, but only 120 feet wide, so I can walk one mile with out going onto someonelse's land. This time of year , I'll see deer, bobcat, moose, Fisher cat, and Coyote..tracts..but rarely see the animal unless I'm looking that way at dusk.

Looks like a great work out and much better view than staying on the tread mill.

Steve, I'm always afraid that I will come to the end of the animal tracts and be face to face with something scary ;-)

Steve, who do I contact to get some of those funds for coyote re population?  I've got a car, I could pick them up and drop the off at coyote-less destinations.  Is there a coyote re population czar yet?

Lara..I'm with you on that, but most animals will run away first, the only time to be concerned is in the spring when Momma- bear has cubs.

Laura, You are a Hoot!, animal husbandry, and relocation services..I'll let my contact in Washington know you are interested.

Thanks   Steve

Steve--As usual, I'm enjoying your wintery snow pictures!!! Although I'm a sissy Georgia girl who doesn't like the cold, I do wish it would snow once here!!! If it's not going to snow it ought to at least start getting into the 70s :-)

Have a great night,

Anne
