It's true. Making money is easy. All you have to do is sell something that someone wants at a price they want to pay.
It really does come down to that. I don't know why we tend to complicate matters. As a real estate agent if you have something that someone wants to buy and it's in their price range there's no reason why you shouldn't sell it.
I can just hear the jeers and the snickers.. Yeah, (sniff)....but there's no one out there buying right now.. The banks aren't lending and people are fearful of the future.
My reply is.....these are not your customers. Your customers are those with pre-approval, who know what they want and are ready to by. Believe me.....these people are out there. They're right in your community. It's your task to find them.
There are dozens of ways to find buyers. You can advertise for them, you can meet them through casual contact, through referrals, through networking etc. The ways of meeting legitimate buyers are endless.
The secret is to only solicit legitimate, educated buyers. Your message should be something to the effect of...... IF YOU'RE PRE-APPORVED FOR A MORTGATGE AND SERIOUS, I CAN GET YOU THE HOME YOU WANT FOR THE PRICE YOU WANT TO PAY.
There is no shortage of houses on the market.....and prices vary widely.
Understand your legitimate customers' needs thoroughly and match those needs to what's on the market. Create a grapevine of potential non-listed home sellers who are eager to sell. Use "Sell Your Own Home" listings to find out the minimum sellers will let their home go for. The more inventory and varied you can lay your hands on the better.

Actively go after business.....rather than waiting for it to come to you.
Selling is not easier said than done if you approach it in the right way. Make a plan. Develop a strategy. Ask for the kind of business you want and you'll get it.
