Spring is finally here the flowers are blooming and I find myself so thankful!! Our state bird the Robin has returned (yes I have seen them), our color is returning with the trees budding and flowers blooming, emerging from their long winter sabbaticals, this is all a true confirmation that spring has finally arrived and we Michigander’s are more than ready!
If you have decided that now is the time for you to begin pursuing the home of your dreams the first and most important place for you to begin is in becoming pre-approved. Getting pre-approved is free and allows you comfort in knowing how much you qualify for, this will then tell you the price range you should be looking at. Once you have become pre-approved you will receive a pre-approval letter. This letter should always be included in any offer(s) you make for this shows you are a motivated buyer and ready to purchase. If you do not know who to go too in regards to getting pre-approved just ask your REALTOR for more often than not, they will have a number of mortgage companies they have worked with along with a high level of confidence in the customer service they provide.
Find an agent that is familiar with the area you desire to move too, someone who will take the time with you to learn what you are looking for in your new home and will then work hard helping you find it. If you are not a first time home buyer ask your agent for his or her suggestions for improving your homes chances of selling and use their advice to your advantage. Selling a home can be very stressful and finding the right fit in a real estate agent for you is especially important. Remember real estate agents are not hired to list your property…they are hired to market and sell your property.
