Should You Even Consider Buying A Home Now?

Find your Raleigh are home now!

Should you even consider buying a home now?

Simply put, if you are even thinking about it the answer is.....YES!

But why? Here are three very compelling reasons....

First off, interest rates are near all time lows.
Next, home prices have declined to levels not seen in years. There are plenty of homes on the market today and sellers, if they really want to sell, are willing to negotiate.
And, finally, first-time home buyers, if they qualify, are eligible for up to an $8,000 tax credit.

Did you know that even if home prices were to decline 10% but also during that time, interest rates available for home loans were to increase by 1.00%, your monthly principal and interest payment would actually be higher? Source:1st Priority Financial

Are you ready to start your home search? Pictures of homes are nice, but you can't buy a home on the internet. Who can you trust? Who should you call?

Why not start with me, Craig Rutman ....

I know the area. I know the neighborhoods. I know where the hospitals, shopping and schools are. And, probably most importantly, I know my market.

One thing you will learn when working with me is that I will NOT sell you a house, but I WILL help you find a home.

I'll only show you what you want to see, I won't screen out any homes, nor will I steer you in any particular direction.

What I will do is give you my honest opinions of the homes we see and, when the time comes to put pen to paper, you'll know all that is possible to know about that particular home.

I can't stress enough that in North Carolina having a buyer's agent costs you nothing. If you call the number on the sign in front of a property, you're getting the seller's agent....the agent THEY hired to represent them, not you.
That seller has a team working for them. You should too.

I'd like to be that team.

Craig, we know that it's a great time to be a buyer in North Carolina.  We see great homes every day, and at these interest rates, how can they go wrong.

Craig - well stated.  Now is the time.  If a consumer is in a position to make homeownership happen, then now is the time for them to take charge of the situation and get moving!

Hi Craig, Very compelling reasons to buy a home now. I didn't realize that fact about the 10% /1% - thank you for that very valuable tidbit!

Any time is a good time to buy a home if one is planning on living in it and enjoying life, and perhaps raising a family. If one wants to buy and sell one's home every couple of years like it's a common stock or bond, then you're on your own; I can't help you there.

Carol - Now is the time! Rates are low, lenders, believe it or not, are willing to lend money, and thre are great deals out there!

Cecily - You're right on the money there Cecily. It's not all doom and gloom out there.

Mary - Thank you Mary! The reasons to buy vs. rent or sit on the fence have never been better.

Russel - I'm with you on this one. buy and flip right now is not a good idea. Buy and hold or buy and live/ raise a family in a home is a great idea right now.
