Mother Nature is playing with us in Kansas City.
Friday, the geese are hanging out on the ledge on Brush Creek, sunning themselves.
Now, on Saturday, they're over in the lagoon at Loose Park.
The sun did come out for a few minutes Saturday but mostly it looked like this, or worse, but I couldn't get photos while driving in the worse:
The roads were good until sundown when the temperature freezes them. Good enough to show houses, anyway.
This patch of evergreens is one of my favorite parts of Loose Park.
So, you may be wondering why I am talking about Friday and Saturday on Sunday; and maybe where was I for Wordless Wednesday and the rest of the week. Well, my laptop went dark. Working away and the screen went so dark that if I positioned myself in the right angle, I could just barely make out the windows logo when I turned it off and on again. Could not see the mouse. It's been acting up for a little while now. Spent $150 on it last month. So when it started going dark and otherwise acting up again, I started looking around for a new one.
The new laptop is grand! Much lighter to carry and I love the keyboard. The old Dell is on my left; it comes on every now and again. When it does, I try to salvage files and pictures and music and such that aren't backed up elsewhere.
Yes, the Maxtor is here too. It doesn't seem to want to give me what I want to put on the new Sony. So I have files stored on the home desktop, some on various web places, some on the office computer...
Well, anyway, things are getting back to normal, I'm feeling more together, and very happy to be back on AR with most of "my stuff."
