TEXAS A&M 12TH MAN KICK OFF TEAM!

I was reminded today of what it means when everyday guys get together and do great things.

As Jackie Sherrill said in the prologue to his new book on the 12th Man.

"They simply didn't have the speed, quickness, agility, strength, or muscle to play big-time college football. That's what Division One Football thought. But Division One Football didn't see what I saw, know what I knew about Texas A&M, its traditions, its legacy, and the never-say-die, never-say-quit, never-back-down spirit that dwelled deep within the hearts of a student body that would run through a brick wall or tear the sonuvabitch down with their bare hands if the maroon and white asked them to.

They were the builders of bonfire. They were the keepers of the flame. Individually and collectively, they were the heartbeat of everything so special about Texas A&M.

Like E. King Gill, the original 12th Man, they were ready to come down out of the stands if the football team needed them."

Here is a link to his prologue.

I have been blessed in my life to have 4 incredible brothers. All of them have become great fathers, brothers and men.

One of them had the honor and courage to be a 12th Man at Texas A&M. His last year as a 12th man he played against Tim Brown the Heisman Trophy winner. For Harold it was an honor and a challenge to push himself against the best and succeeding made it even sweeter.

That is what our country is about. Knowing the honor it is to be an American and having the guts and the courage to be the builders of the bonfire and the keepers of the flame. To do that we must know our history, be proud of our great accomplishments and learn from our mistakes.

In the end it is not the power in Washington that makes us great. It is the power of you and me.

The “12th Men”.

The regular folks who have been the small business owners and the workers who push everyday to work hard and help make those small businesses grow to huge companies. Capitalism is about a man or woman who takes the risk and succeeds and because of it others prosper as well.

It is time to come out of the stands and on the field and fight like hell to save our great Country. The RED, WHITE AND BLUE ARE CALLING YOUR NAME!! Washington does not believe we are Division One quality. Let’s just show them what we are made of.

Fran,

I know the challenge of family pride and allegiants. I have another brother and Sister-in-law that went to Texas and my son wants to go to Tech. You know what we all still love each other and get along. Even on those days our schools play each other. It can be ugly and loud during the game but in the end we all love one another. Have a great week!! Alice

Alice,

Let's all move to Texas and start a new country.  Run the blue state renegades across the Rio Grande and Texas can belong to the capitalists and the folks that want to be self-sufficient.  I'll even wear a coon skin cap and defend the Alamo for freedom loving people every where.

I'll still be a Penn State fan but at least Arlen Spectacle Specter won't be my embarassing senator any longer.

Tim

Alice Great Post! As a hardcore Aggie fan I know how long the journey has been for them. They never give up. "Give me an army of West Point graduates, I'll win a battle. Give me a handful of Texas Aggies and I'll win a war!" --Gen. George S. Patton, Jr.

Note......Texas A&M is one of only three schools with a full-time Corps of Cadets program leading to commissions in all branches of military service -- Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps. It has a tradition of providing more trained officers to our nation's armed forces than come from any other military school

Trey,

I am happy you enjoyed it. The Aggie tradition and pride is truly amazing.

The Corps of Cadets is another group of amazing individuals. Our great Country does have a lot to be proud of and a lot to fight for.  Texas A&M produces the best of the best.

Have a great evening!!

Tim, Thank you for your comment. We would welcome you in Texas, Penn state fan and all. I have a feeling Mr. Spectacle Spector's days are numbered in the US Senate. That is my prayer at least.

Tchaka,

Thank you for the link. I was at that game and was a proud sister. Harold is a high school teacher and coach. It is truly a calling for him and he is what parents want in a teacher and coach for their child. He is a great mentor on character. Much of it he learned on the football field as a 12th man.

There are a lot of people in this world that would benefit from that kind of spirit. People are too willing to lay down and admit defeat these days before the game even starts, but one day that will change. At least I hope.

Alice - a great tribute to your brother(s), I coached a soccor team for two years that had a whole lot of 12th men, and they all have the trophies. We do need to be those 12 men in our country.

This is absolutely true, "Washington does not believe we are Division One quality".

Washington has without question lost faith in the power and innovation of the American people.

In order to fight a fight, you need to know who you are fighting.    I don't think anyone really knows who or what they need to fight nor that its more massive then you ever imagined.

Since you guys all are posting on here, I know you have a search funtion on your browser to search any info you want.   All the answers are at your fingertips.    There is no other way to explain it then to lay it out there.

Every country who has a central bank - like your federal reserve - is not run by your politicans.   Every Central bank is owned by the same private banking institutions/families!   They run the world.  This is your "shaddow"  Government.     And it's been this way for a long time, and they've almost completed their goal to rule the world as a one world govenment.

Search for the info.  It's very easy to find the history of the federal reserve and who owns it and tracing it back to the Rothchield's and Morgan's who own and run the Bank of England and everything else.  Watch the money master video on google.   All the info is out there.   It will absolutely turn your world upside down (as you realize that the world you thought you lived in is a complete lie) but all of a sudden the world you live in  and it's history will make complete sense.

These people use the world as a chest game for their own person gain - they've financed both sides and are responsible for virtually every war/conflict that you know of for the past 100 years.   They own all of the main stream media you watch, read, and listen too, all the drug companies, all the big corporations, the military, run your education system, and they run your Government!

People complain or debate about Rep or Dem and issues.   It's like a dog chasing it's tail around as the real problem/issue/solution is hidden.  The President is just a puppet for the people who really running the show. (Every President the US has ever had has blood lines to the 13 families who are running this planet and are groomed to carry out their agenda).   They've been using the White House to exert their ideas and plans for a long time now.   Have you every wondered why regardless of who gets elected nothing ever seems to change?  Why did Obama break every single campaign promise within a month of his job and is actually excelerating the "previous" administration's agenda?

If the public knew what was going on there would be 3 billion people in the streets before morning.    But I have no idea of how the public is going to get informed (and in time).     Don't take anything I wrote with a grain of salt - Do you own research, ask your own questions.   The answers to all your questions are right at your fingertips.

HI Alice,  even though I live in Austin I am neither a Longhorn or Aggie fan, I like both teams equally and I have to admit walking in the streets of Austin it is not uncommon to see the Maroon on tee shirts around here.  The Aggie's are always a force to be reckoned with.

The strength of the 12th Man is going to be tested, I have heard many places where there is a strong resistance growing to the current Congressional and Administration Policies.  The  "flag" at the WHITE HOUSE was over the line ... I have taken a stand and if need be will go down with the likes of Jim Bowie, Davy Crockett and John Paul Jones and all the other GREAT AMERICANS who fought for our Freedoms, including my uncle who was one of the most decorated Marines in WWII.  And my cousins who left parts of themselves in Vietnam..  and my other cousins who have had 2 tours in IRAQ.

LET FREEDOM RING.

Hi Alice,

Jeanne and I met you on Monday at the "protest".  Great video.  We are the 12th man.  We love our God, our families and our country and we don't ask our government to take care of us.  God bless your family and your business.

James
