Hollywood East: The Road to Plymouth Rock Studios

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Top Agent Plus

The Long and Winding Road to Hollywood East? There still are some curves ahead before this project is finalized and Plymouth Rock Studios builds their studio complex on the Waverly Oaks Golf Course.

According to an article written by Kathryn Koch titled On the Road Again, there is much to be done with town, state and environmental approval before the green light is issued.

The town certainly is interested in keeping this project alive and the state has a vested interest in preserving this project as well.  Our state and local government needs revenue and this project has been promoting that it will deliver jobs and revenue to the area.

Hi Judy, thought I would just mosey on over to see what was happening in your world.  Hope you're not snowed under today.  Great video on your access road.  Here in Raleigh the big debate/discussion is on our outer beltline -  the 540.  I wish I'd have a video like yours.  That's cool...

Lee & Pamela,

I am thrilled that you took the time to mosey over to my world. I can not take credit for the video, Plymouth Rock Studios is producing the short videos called "The Series." It is very interesting to watch it unfold, and I believe it will be a great enhancement to the area.

I am pretty close to the Cape so we had a mix of sleet. It is messy, but spring is rapidly approaching. I am looking forward to some sun and leaves on the trees. I like green.

Judy, we all want great roads. Boy do they take a long time coming, don't they?

Endre,

The road to the Cape has changed considerably if you drive over the Sagamore Bridge. The rotary is gone and they have what is termed "the flyover." No, you don't need a plane. I think it has made an improvement on traffic flow. Although getting off Cape on weekends still can be tricky.

Beverly Hills is not a bad place to be, especially this time of year. However, sleet there is not likely.

Hi Gary,

If all goes well for this project, they have a very aggressive target date of opening by spring of 2010. For them, it will seem like a long time, but a year passes in a flash.  As long as they stay in the middle lane, all should be good. ;-)
