If you haven’t already had this done I would highly recommend having it done, I had one done on my home and it was wonderful!

The Energy Trust of Oregon is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to energy efficiency and renewable energy development. Their mission is to change how Oregonians produce and use energy by investing in efficient technologies and renewable resources that not only save you money but protect the environment.

Up to 60 percent of energy used to heat and cool homes can be lost due to leaky ducts, inefficient equipment, poor insulation and air leaks.

You can save money and increase your home’s energy efficiency with help from Energy Trust of Oregon; it just takes one phone call to set up your appointment.

Who can participate?

Oregon customers heating their homes with electricity or natural gas provided by Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural or Cascade Natural Gas are eligible to participate in Energy Trust programs.

What happens during a Home Energy Review?

An Energy Advisor will conduct a one-hour walkthrough of your home, visually assessing the following typical areas of energy loss:

• Insulation levels in the attic, ceiling, walls, floors and ducts

• Heating system

• Air sealing and windows

• Ventilation

• Moisture problems

After the Energy Advisor conducts the walkthrough of your home you will receive:

• A customized action plan

• Energy-saving products

• More info on cash-back incentives (these are very generous!)
