Let’s focus on the basic activities of real estate. Let’s hold ourselves and each other accountable for the basics. Are we doing our hour of power calls- (all of us)? In fact-if you are not on an appointment, showing houses, or negotiating a deal- you should be on the phone! SERIOUSLY! The more people you talk to the more appointments you will make- I better hear everyone making those calls. I know I am making the calls! There are lots of opportunities out there-it is your job to find them! are you sending your 2 thank you/just a note cards a day? with all the calls you'll be making -it should be easy to send more than 2 a day! -(we need to thank everyone) How about wearing our name tags or are we secret agents? you never know who you will run into. it may be someone who needs to buy or sell. in fact- everyone will need to buy or sell at some point. the key is to always be on it! Are we asking people we meet, clients we are working with, our circle of influence otherwise know as our past clients, friends and family- Who is the next person they know that may buy or sell real estate? We all know these so well but sometimes we need to focus on the basics. What you focus on increase! Get in flow with people! Have a successful day!
We are on the same wavelength, I agree just picking up the phone every day will bring you business.
Toril - you're right. Keep working, and networking. With any available time, continue your efforts to connect and re-connect with people.
Toril,
I do not think that there is something universal that we all should do. For example, I practically never call people. Only e-mail. I do not like to call, I prefer writing, then reading it, and then having it for future, so I have the proof what I said or what I did not say.
Same thing with everything else. This was one of the reasons I left a big company, They knew what I have to do. I feel much better now, doing what I want to do the way I do it.
Nit that there are no basics, but they are a bit different, as we are different.
Good luck to you calling, and me ... not calling. It is just different ways of doing business. The same business
