Mother’s Day – Albuquerque Style

The Annual Mother's Day Symphony at the Zoo.

2:00-3:00PM. Included in regular zoo admission. $7 for adult and $3 for children and seniors. A free Park & Ride will be available from the aquarium's west parking lot or the city parking structure at 2^nd and Gold.

The NMSO's Mother's Day Concert Program includes the following works:

• Herold, Overture to Zampa
• Chopin, Piano Concerto No. 1, First Movement, with pianist Thomas Allen
• Sousa, Washington Post March
• Grofe, "Mardi Gras" from The Mississippi Suite
• Texidor, Amparito Roca March
• Badelt, arr. Ricketts, "Pirates of the Caribbean"

International Migratory Bird Day at the Zoo.

10am-2pm. Find out how birds survive incredible migratory journeys. Included in zoo admission. Adults $7, children and seniors $3.

Bonsai Show at the Botanic Garden.

9:00-5:00pm. Morning and afternoon demonstrations will be performed and an educational table will be set up to show the stages of development in creating Bonsai. Included in Botanic Garden admission. Adults $7, children and seniors $3.

 The Albuquerque Philharmonic Orchestra presents a free Mother's Day concert at the Kimo.

House Tour -The Huning Highland Historic District Association will guide you through unique Victorian-styled abodes on Mother's Day from noon to 5 p.m. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at The Preservation Station 601 Coal SE.
