There's Always Room To Share.....Really????

Growing up as a little girl in Newnan, Georgia, my mother was constantly telling my sister and I that "there's always room to share". Being the smart-mouthed analytical child that I was , I was ALWAYS coming up with various scenarios that would instantly blow her little theory to smithereens. In fact, I would always pride myself of coming up with various scenarios in which it would be absolutely silly and impossible to share (which would also explain why I was constantly being popped in the mouth)! However, as I grew older, I realized the importance of treating others in the same manner in which I would like to be treated... In fact, we'll call that an adolescent revolution that quickly became theory when I suffered my first broken heart (Thank you, S.M.) However, I'll dry my tears and digress....

In our industry, especially during a shifting market, it's easy to forget how impowering helping others really is. We're so caught up in reaching our goals and "hitting our numbers" that we quickly forget how scary it is to be a new agent who's shoved into the field with no knowledge and even less money or how it is to be a new mortgage lender trying to at least get past the receptionist in an effort to solicit new business..Simply put, some of us (present company included) have simply forgotten. Our communities are suffering because of "forgetfulness". It's way too easy to concentrate on our own issues and overlook the blessings that manifest in helping others. I challenge anyone who's reading this post to do at least 1 good deed for someone else within the next two days and THEN charge that individual to extend a similar type of gratitude to someone else. Trust me... your heart will be rewarded and your smile will shine on for longer than a moment!!

There is always room to share.  Helping the other agents in my office succeed is going to help build the name and reputation of our office, which is going to help drive more business to me as well.
