Keith - Keep the good news coming. Any idea when it will be completed?

Good Evening Carl & Ceil...it will be built in several phases.  It will take quite a few years before the preserve is completed, but the first areas will be accessible later this year.  It is one more great thing for people to do when they come to Port A.

If you have ever fished the bulkheads back on the ship channel, than you know the area.  I hope all is well.  We need to get Manu back in the Spurs lineup.  That was a painful game to watch last night with the Mavs.

Smart real estate.

Keith,

Excellent info.  Is this part of Charlies' Pasture (our favorite dog off-leash run area)?  We're coming down for SandFest ... have not been down since New Years and we're itchin' for some Port A time.

Good to hear from you and I hope all is well.  Sandfest looks to be bigger than ever.  I believe it is now officially the largest sand castle festival/competition in the U.S.

Yes, Charlie's Pasture is a portion of the preserve.  I hadn't thought about it, but I suspect that the days of an off-leash dog run area may be numbered.  I'll check and see if there are plans for a designated area for dogs.

You are obviously not alone.  It is a very popular place for exercising (dogs and people).  I do know that there have been people asking for a designated dog park in Port A as well.  I'll check with the City Manager and get back to you.  You've got me curious.  Take Care
