Fairhaven, MA

Fairhaven is a historic, seaside community, located along the Massachusetts South Coast. This is the region along Buzzards Bay, between RI and Cape Cod.

Fairhaven has a historical Village center with many homes from the 18th and 19th Centuries. Its town benefactor, Henry Huttleston Rogers, has left several beautiful and stately, Romanesque buildings (circa 1890) in the town center area. This helps shape the character of this quaint, seaside town.

Fairhaven shares a harbor with New Bedford and tens of miles of additional waterfront. Fairhaven has 6 marinas and assorted boat yards. The Fairhaven/ New Bedford harbor is the most active fishing harbor in all of the US with some 480 working boats.

30 minutes from Cape Cod, Newport, RI, and Providence, RI; and 50 mins from Boston, Martha's Vineyard (via direct Ferry) and two international Airports, Fairhaven is a lovely place to live year round or to have a beach home.

People who buy summer homes in Fairhaven find that there is no increase in traffic in season and that they avoid the congestion on Cape Cod. Meanwhile they are within an hour of several great destination spots mentioned above.
