Other agent keeps calling my clients?

By
Real Estate Agent with CARES Consumer Advantage Real Estate Services

I recently had a transaction and the buyer's agent kept calling my clients directly to ask them questions regarding the transaction.  My clients would call me after the agent called them, and when I called the other agent they would just say, "sorry I thought I was calling your number."  After the third call they had to know they were calling my seller directly.

I did not make a fuss over it, but what should I have done?

What would you have done?

3 times?

You're kinder than I am.  I would have made a fuss by going to her office and asking for a sit down with the agent and her broker.  I would also instruct my clients to not say anything to her other than "Please call my agent".

You may simply consider telling your clients not to answer any questions without filtering them through you.

Three times -- I think not --- and after all even one time , when the other people answered the agent knew it was not you --- she/ he should have apologized for mis-dialing and hung up and called you.

Three times -- call their broker and complain. Our 2 cents.
