These are magic words in Real Estate and in years past no good Realtor would let you forget it. While some agents are banking on spring sales I am rethinking, retooling and just plain readjusting my thought pattern towards Real Estate. In the past this time of year was exciting and buzzing with new opportunity and new marketing plans. Everyone was hoping you would buy into their strategies to make the phone ring, remember saying just one closing will pay for this whole system. We were being Sold to and in turn we were selling it back to our clients.
What am I doing this year that has been different then any other year pass? I am no longer the person with all the answers and canned responses. I am truly trying to listen more than I talk and when I speak it is to learn more not to impress with my knowlege. We all need to stop and listen to our clients... they are not hearing the canned verbiage anymore. They all have very special needs and need to be heard, they are tired of being "sold" to and desire being listened to. I truly believe this spring would be a great time to soul search and really reevaluate why you are a Realtor. If you find your heart saying it is because I know someone will truly benefit from working with me because I care about them, your on the right track.
