Cambria is one of the most beautiful area in the world. The weather is perfect year round, the people are polite, and the beaten path is a short drive away. Traditionally Cambria is thought of as an artsy community with local artists, glass galleries, and antique shops. The Cambria real estate market is also a dominant presence in town with real estate offices on every corner.

Cambria has many fun events year round - The Cambria Pinedorado on Labor Day weekend is the largest and most well known of these events and includes a grand parade, carnival, and loads of Central Coast fun. The Cambria fourth of July fireworks and activities at Shamel Park has become a grand attraction for friends and family to visit and share the experience on the beach. Every friday is the Farmer's Market where local growers and merchants bring their goods to the Vet's Hall parking lot.

Hearst Castle and the Elephant Seals in San Simeon, just 10 minutes North of Cambria, gathers people from all over the world to the Central Coast. Car and biker clubs come here to drive up the scenic coastal Highway 1 up to big sur. This famous route has become loved not just for it's spectacular beauty and ocean views, but also the winding curves that give the driver / rider interest.

In the town of Cambria there are many lovely activities the family can enjoy. The Cambria Pines Lodge (2905 Burton - Cambria) welcomes garden tourists to visit their well kept gardens. The Schoolhouse Gallery (880 Main - Cambria) showcases many local artists' works throughout the year in the historic Santa Rosa Schoolhouse. Many public access coves are in residential areas along the coasts of Cambria - come to one of the beach front roads in Cambria and you won't be far from where you can walk down to the tidepools.

Nit Wit Ridge in Cambria California The East-West Ranch trail is a spectacular ocean front - open space walk with coastal bluffs and pine forests. The 417 acre open space that divides Park Hill at the North West of Cambria and Marine Terrace at the South West. There are dozens of walking trails that crisscross the property. You can view Piedras Blancas Light Station, hear seals barking, otters in the water, and many times whales spouting on their migration. Open dawn to dusk. Watch out for the chilling coastal breeze.

Drive out Santa Rosa Creek road in Cambria to see the rolling coastal hills, farms, and ranches. Among these is the Linn's Original Farm Store that kicked off the Linns' restaurant experiment and offers great pies, jams and other goods since 1977. The McCall Farm offers pick your own apples, tomatoes and peppers in season from September to November. Also a bed and breakfast - the McCall family is a wonderful family.

You're right - I've heard there's only one other place in the world that has such a mild climate year round (somewhere in Spain I think).
