James Island Real Estate News: James Island Community Has Its Say
A crowd of roughly 100 James Islanders met with Charleston County School officials to raise concerns over the districts delayed plan to sell some of its land and buildings on the island, surely affecting James Island real estate and neighborhood values. Officials also met with concerned citizens to discuss poor performance and their desire to improve Murray-Lasaine Elementary School, the Island lowest performing school. Many citizens were particularly concerned about the districts delayed plan to sell the building and land near Clark Academy without consulting nearby residents. All of these decisions affect the community and surely affect James Island real estate as those making decisions to move to different neighborhoods or relocate to James Island from other parts of the county must weigh the strengths of schools in our local communities.
