CABINET MOUNTAIN WILDERNESS AREA

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with DeShazer Ryan Realty

WHAT MAKES THIS SMALL WILDERNESS AREA SO VERY SPECIAL?

Numerous alpine lakes make a day hike a joy with a waterfall half way there if you go up Granite Lake

Trail. The fishing is fun for adults and children and you may limit out on Brooke Trout, rainbow, or cutthroat from

these cold mountain streams and lakes.

The scenery is outstanding! Sharp mountain peaks with Snowshoe Peak at 8738 ft  a goal for the hiking and

climbing enthusiast.

Oh and the wildlife! Yes cougar, deer (both whitetail and mule deer), mountain sheep and mountain goats,

moose, elk, both black and grizzly bears.

Horse back riding makes access easy, there are also gentle trails to the very challenging take your choice.

That wildlife certainly doesn't look to scared of you. One of my listings has deer come up to the back door for apples why I am there, so I never forget them when I do an open house. I have yet to get a picture though, they are still a little scared when I bring out the camera.

I agree those of us that get to live in Lincoln County are very lucky to have the many recreational opportunities and the beauty all around!
