I have seen a lot of posts on Logan Utah real estate, and very few on the surrounding areas of Cache County Utah. I would like to discuss some of the rural towns in the Cache Valley area.
Let's start with the Northern half of Cache Valley: Richmond, Utah.
Richmond, Utah is a rural city just south of the Idaho border. It's about an eight minute drive to southern Idaho, or a ten minute drive to Logan, Utah.
Population for Richmond in July 2007 was approximately 2,337. With a Population change since 2000 at +12.7% (statistics provided by City-Data). Richmond is slowly growing, as with the rest of the Cache Valley area.

Black and White Days
The biggest celebration in Richmond is Black & White Days, the longest running Holstein dairy show west of the Mississippi River. Black and White Days consists of some great local food, a celebration of the fine dairymen, and a late night horse pull to end the festivities.
