Tacoma Never Never Land Update!

By
Managing Real Estate Broker with Keller Williams Realty

Last August I wrote a blog post using this pic as a clue to see if anyone still remembered Never Never Land.  Gone but not forgotten Never Never Land still exists in the hearts of some of us.

Tacoma Never Never Land

While cruising through the Internet today I stumbled across a rare find.  It seems that an intrepid reporter from the Tacoma Sun named Morgan Alexander has found the figurines that once graced Never Never Land in Tacoma's Point Defiance Park.  Follow this link to see the pics "Click Here"

For those of you that didn't grow up in the area, Never Never Land was on every kid's wish list when visiting Point Defiance.  Located on the 5 mile drive near Fort Nisqually, Never Never Land was a place where fairy tales came to life for children.

Maybe there is still some hope that Never Never Land will someday be rebuilt?

Wow.  I didn't know they got rid of never never land.  Any Tacoman worth his salt should know that (and that there's a Tacoma underground), I guess.  I'd like to see the basement they fit those big books in...

The books were still there last time I visited Matt, but everything else has been gone for quite some time.

Yeah Loretta it's a real shame what has happened to Never Never Land.  The constant vandalism finally won out and the kids lost.

throughout

went there yesterday and the rest is torn down, gone.  no shoe, no books.  the cement slab where the shoe was seems like it's still in place.  the cement trail guides, covered in moss, and some bricks in the shape of a well somewhere in the woods are literally the only evidence that's left besides that that i could find.
