A few weeks ago I wrote about a free photo manipulation program called the Gimp The-Big-Fix-in-Real-Estate-Photography. Well I'm back with another program that is almost as good as the gimp and just as free. Paint.NET is a graphics editing program originally created as a Washington State University student project, Paint.NET has evolved from a simple replacement for the Microsoft Paint program, included with Windows, into a powerful editor often used as an alternative to Adobe Photoshop. As the photographer for JPC Virtual Tours I am often asked to fix photographs. I also like to be a little creative with some of my photographs so I have an array of software tools.
I decided to use the same basic technique with Paint as I did with the Gimp Blog. I first duplicated the original photograph or layer. Then under the adjustments tab changed the layer to Black and White. Again under the adjustments tab invert the colors. Finally, adjusting the layer properties to overlay and lowering the opacity to about 75.
If you are into the artistic side of photography this program are fairly easy to learn and fun to use. I use them daily in my work with JPC Tours and other real estate projects in and around Boerne and San Antonio Texas. A bad picture can cause your clients to look else where. So you have to ask yohttp://activerain.com/blogsview/958858/The-Big-Fix-in-Real-Estate-Photographyur self if it's worth it to use a professional.
