Like the "Big Apple", Active Rain is a community that seems to never sleep. Something is going on 24/7/365. And, this is a community that is ever growing and changing as evidenced by all the recent changes here lately. One of the things that most folks have noticed by now, are the points buttons underneath your picture when you post a comment. As I peruse through the blog roll, I see many folks, and rightfully so, write a post about achieving a milestone here in the rain when they reach or surpass a points or post milestone: 10K, 20K, 50K... I know I did. And what a feeling of accomplishment that is/was and you deserve to pat your self on the back. You have accomplished something that many did not have the desire or fortitude to do.

Many of you may or may not know that there are groups associated with most of these milestones. When you pass 50,000 points, you can join the Bronze Star Hall of Fame.

100,000 points earns you the right to join the Silver Star Hall of Fame.

At 200,000 points, you qualify for the Gold Star Hall of Fame. And, at 300,000 points, you have the privilege of entering the Platinum Star Hall of Fame.

I say this to encourage my fellow "Rainers" onward and upward, to grasp that inner strength, to press on and pursue the platinum star hall of fame. It can be done. To date, there are 51 members that have reached this milestone in their Active Rain careers and there are a few on the verge of acheiving this milestone. Below are are the states they represent, and links to all of their profiles. These folks should be commended for their dedication and persistence for being the active leaders in this community; if only by setting an example as to what one can accomplish if you plod steadily forward. I encourage all my fellow "Drips and Drops" to stop by their blog and commend them on their acheivements. But no matter what points level you are at, everyone here in Active Rain is a star.

Michael, thanks for the tips on the STARS. I didn't know all that! I'm aiming for 100k pts. soon. Sometimes it's difficult to spend 1-3 hours on AR after a long 10-hour workday. The focus on points keeps me plugging along when I should be sleeping instead!

Thanks because I haven't had much time to keep an eye on those groups but you forgot one last group...the DEM DARE ALOT OF POINTS GROUP which is basically anything 400K or higher...there are only a few in that group.

I am now in a very friendly competition with a fellow friend broker who has just moved back to Santa Fe and told me his goal is to "out rank" me in points. So the push is on for some very friendly competition - of course my other goal is to surpass him in sales this year.
