Apple MacBook Air

Update May 11th, 2009:

Great, I loved the Apple experience, it took me 2 to 3 weeks to get used to the different way of using the computer. Your sure to see me changing in the near future, for all the software you don't have available for a Mac, you can still us you PC software anyway, you just need a software called VMware the use it as a PC, difference, it wont crash!!!

Original:

Because of my comments on my blog, Apple has decided to lend to me a MacBook Air, I will be testing it and giving some feed back to them about the like and not like. The software we need to do our job can be available for use on Apple computers.

I'll let you know about my adventures with the Airbook.

Hey Stephane, So- who is testing the loan application and auto underwriting systems? Pick me pick me! I was an Applee afficionado long before being forced into PC land of lending. Thanks for the good word! Susan

I'm sure Apple makes a very good machine and it's probably a great one to have in your home for personal needs.  As many computers as I have in my home, maybe one should be an Apple.  Unfortunately it has a very small market share and PC's are the machine for the business world, regardless of which is "better".  Application software is NOT always available for both machines.  I see apple owners struggle to access our MLS which was designed as a business app and won't run properly on an Apple.

Richard, almost 10% of all other PC computers combined is a good Share of the market and moving up. If required, you can still run any PC software on the MAC anyway and it works better than on a PC.

Companies offer us what we ask for, if there is no demand, they won't make it. More and more people are buying Macs, and more software is available.

I know you can run Windows on apple computers. Can you do it on the the Macbook Air? If so software wouldn't be an issue.

Hi Terry, a Mac is a Mac, but I'll be able to let you know in a few days. The rep told me I should be up and running after only 20 minutes of helpful info that I will have. Don't get this wrong, they would of spent more time, but that's the only time I had to share.
