Last Sunday I had a very successful Open House with 21 people dropping by in just three hours. The listing was not my own. After I finished setting up my street signs, I went to find a parking spot. Remember that this is Southern California where automobiles reign supreme, so it always puzzles me why we build highways like there is no tomorrow, and we encourage everyone in the family to have their own car as soon as they are able to drive, yet we provide no place to park those cars when we're away from our own home. My Open House was in a very large condominium complex. Not an open parking spot to be found anywhere in the complex. Out to the street. Nope. Next block over. Nope. Other next blocks over. Nope. Two blocks over. Nope. Other two blocks over. Nope. I finally found one just four blocks away. It's a good thing that I always leave early for my Open Houses. Otherwise I would have been about an hour late, and in looking at my Open House register, I could have lost nine of those Open House Guests. Just a reminder to leave a little extra time for unforeseen circumstances when you're scheduled to meet someone or do something. ***** If you need help buying or selling a home anywhere in San Diego County, please contact me.
