Special Clients!

By
Real Estate Agent with Sky Realty

Today I had one of those experiences with a client (actually a repeated experience with this client) that made me want to "put it in writing."

When I have the opportunity to help people with real estate, I seek earnestly to put them first and to care for them and their needs. The calling of our work in real estate is to do unto others as we would have them do unto us -- the Golden Rule.

I have had many clients who genuinely appreciate my work for them. Occasionally, though, there is the special client who genuinely cares for me and my wife in return. When I talk to this client about the home he is building or spend some time with him, he invariably asks how we are doing and how our real estate business is doing. It is sooooo refreshing to sense his (and his wife's) concern and friendship.

Again today, as we talked about the progress on their dream home, he asked the questions. I found a good point to stop him, and to tell him how much we appreciate him asking about us!

What a blessing that some of the people we work with not only appreciate our work, but also seize the opportunity to give back to and care for us! So, even in this down market, I am encouraged to keep on keeping on in the hopes of not only continuing to find more business, but also to forming more relationships like this one I have written about!

If you have had such a client, please make a comment so we can all be encouraged. "Encourage one another today, while it is called Today ..."

I am working with some special buyers now.  Earlier this week my niece was put in the hospital with a clot in the lung.  (She is out of the hospital now and doing well.)  I got the call while I was showing buyers a home and told them about the call.  I didn't hear from them till Thursday morning when I verified an appointment later in the morning.  She told me they had some questions but decided because of the serious illness of my niece, they wanted to give me time to tend to that.  I told them they could have called anytime but they said no I needed to tend to family issues first.  Nice to have clients thinking of us.
