Part of Manheim Township, Neffsville is both a hub of the township and a quiet suburban locale. Located where Lititz Pike (501) intersects Petersburg/Valley roads, Neffsville is the home of Manheim Township schools, with the middle/high schools & district office in town. Neffsville is the home of one of the township's fire halls. According to local tradition, the town was named for one Johan Christian Neff of Germany, who arrived in America in 1743. A local company, Shanks, made vanilla bean extracts for many years and is still made today, although the business has moved out of town. For you golfers, Jim Furyk is a Manheim Township High School graduate. State Representative John Bear also makes his office in town.
The Neffsville PA Real Estate market consists of several peaceful neighborhoods surrouding the 501/Valley Road intersection. School Valley Farms, Cobblestone Court, Village Park are the larger neighborhoods. As an unincorporated town, Neffsville has no distinct boundaries but is bordered on the North by Warwick Township and the Lancaster Airport. Generall, homes north of Route 722 are not in Neffsville but in Warwick.
