Advice to Home Sellers: Get a Pre-Inspection

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Professionals BK659643

Last week I received informative information from Matt Peck, one of my "preferred" home inspectors here in Gainesville, Florida.   Matt Peck with Housemaster is on my business to business directory here in Gainesville.

Housemaster.comThe brochure is titled, "The Right Move for today's Home Sellers".   It provides great advice to anyone considering putting their home on the market with their Realtor. It's an explanation for sellers getting a home inspection on their home before it goes on the market.  It's a great marketing tool.

A pre-inspection can give the homeowner/seller peace-of-mind as to the condition of their own home.  And if there are things that need attention or repair, you will know first - not potential buyers.

If you are considering selling a home, consider the benefits of a Pre-Inspection

  • Reduces Your Legal Risk for Non-disclosure Claims
  • Generate More Showings
  • Minimize Price Negotiation and/or contingencies on the Contract
  • This seller advantage may get your Home Sold Faster, ask your Realtor!

The Housemaster web site if full of useful information for Home Buyers and Home Owners/Sellers.

If you are needing a home inspection here in Gainesville, Florida or surrounding communities in Alachua County.  Just visit the Housemaster web site and it will get you in touch with Matt Peck.

Always good advice.  I always encourage my sellers to get pre-inspected if they have a home older than a few years. My experience is that if a contract falls out and fails to close, it will usually be a disagreement over inspection issues.  A pre-inspection eliminates that anquish for all parties!

Christine --- I'm with you 100% on this one --- great advice. pre-inspections have not become very popular in SC, but I'm pushing for it.Thanks.
