Are you like the rest of us? Do you find your inbox 'over-run' with emails from people, places, and things you never heard of? Here's some ways to slow the flow of unwanted info.
1. Never buy anything that is being sold in an email from someone or some company that you do not know.
2. Do not reply to unsolicited e-mails. If you go to the unsubscribe link - you are just basically showing the sender that you do exist. I make a habit of going up to the option of blocking sender.
3. Use one email address to communicate with your family and friends and co-workers. Setup a new email for ordering on-line.
4. And when you find your special 'ordering' email overrun with 'stuff' - delete it and create a new one. This is easy with hotmail, yahoo, gmail, etc.
5. I get so many emails supposedly from ebay and paypal saying they need personal information. I automatically forward these all to spam@ebay.com or spam@paypal.com. There is also the option of forwarding them to spam@uce.gov which stands for the Federal Trade Commission.
