Let's put Madoff, AIG criminals, corrupt politicians in Sheriff Joe's Tent City in Arizona

"If you don't like it, don't come back" says Sheriff Joe Arpaio who was just re-elected IN 2008.

”And quit your complaining. Our military men and women fighting for you in Iraq and Afghanistan live in tents hotter than these….so shut your mouths.”

Here are the conditions these criminals would face:

* TENTS where they will stay during their incarceration. No walls. No jail bars.
* Pink underwear, pink handcuffs
* Cable TV (when they get it) only shows the Disney Channel and the Weather Channel
* Chain gang (hey, a good way to build teamwork, and be seen doing good work when they're out performing community service)
* No cigarettes, no porn magazine
* Patriotic songs begin the day and end the night: God Bless America, and the National Anthem
*And a real kick in the pants, Newt Gingrich's lectures are piped in the tents

There's no over-crowding in Sheriff Joe's jail. He merely puts up another tent.

I can't believe that Sheriff Joe is being sued for trying to enforce the immigration laws on his border state.

Larry --- the sheriff is right. Jail isn't supposed to fun. Inmates shouldn't be coddled. After all they are in there for punishment. So when they're there, they work in order to eat.

I do think that the people responsible deserve jail or whatever punishment but that sherriff is the lowest scum bag on the face of the earth. He is a racist and I am sorry if you cant see that. No wonder he is being sued. I hope he spends the rest of his natural born life in prison because its well deserved.

Kevin --- from what I've read about Sheriff Joe, he's tough, period. And he has been very forceful in curbing illegal immigration. Maybe that's the reason for the racist comment?

I've been hearing about Sheriff Arpaio for several years. He has a great reputation for handling criminal incarceration the way it SHOULD be done and I think you're right on here - send those thieves from AIG and Washington D.C. to Joe and let him "rehabilitate" them.

The citizens of Phoenix obviously like his results because they keep reelecting him.
