Tuesday's Tip #15

“According to a Yahoo Real Estate survey conducted by Harris Interactive, one in five homeowners are concerned about the possibility of foreclosure.”

I’m not surprised.

“The survey also found that 37% of all U.S. adults would be at least somewhat interested in buying a house in foreclosure.””

Again, I’m not surprised.

So, what is it that makes some of us get out of bed and take the risks involved in real estate investing? Is it our makeup? Is it our financial situation?

No, I believe it has everything to do with our education. Not our school education, but our self-education. Being people of the Information Age, I’d hate to see it any other way. When you have as much information as you and I have at our fingertips today, why wouldn’t you learn? Why wouldn’t you search for answers?

If you’ve never invested in real estate and are aching to try your hand at it, do something about it. Read. Read some more. And then read some more. Learn the language of the numbers. Look at as many properties as you can on a Saturday. Build your team. Learn.

If 1 in 5 homeowners are concerned about the possibility of foreclosure, think about how many homes that means you could purchase.

Tuesday’s Tip: Perception is reality. So, change your perception and you just might make a little money.

Perception IS reality; however, our self imposed perceptions hold us back many times from achieving the best we can be.
