Our legislators made poor decisions that led us into this financial crisis. Now they are grilling AIG and other company executives for bonuses that they are legally obligated to pay out to their employees.
Why aren't people outraged at our legislators? They have as much responsibility for this mess yet they keep all of their pay and benefits?
I think we should propose a bill that they forfeit at least 1/3 of their pay until they "fix" the problem their policies caused. The fact that they are the ones pointing the finger and calling the shots at these failed companies is unbelievable. Talk about being a hypocrite! I also can't believe that the public isn't directing their anger toward them like they are toward these big companies.
Sorry for the negativity. I feel better now. Well, not really.
What do you think? Anyone want to help me draft this bill and get signatures?!
I really hate to leave on such a sour note so here is something to brighten up your day:
