HELP WANTED: I need an agent who can MARKET my home.

The times have been changing.  There has been a shift on how real estate is bought and sold.  There are more and more blogs popping up every single day. 

When I do open houses - or my agents do an open house, I always ask "how did you hear about the open house?"  I will be honest with you 90% say the internet.  The other 10% is the sign. 

90% of buyers look on the internet.  Meaning that when home sellers call an agent to "interview" them they should maybe think about asking these questions - as well as the "normal" interview questions.

1.) How many hits do you get on your website a day, a month?

2.) Do you have a blog as well as a website? 

3.) Do you advertise on the internet?  Paid sites as well as free sites?

4.) Do you use pay per click?

5.) Do agents in your office have their OWN websites/blog?

6.)  Do the people who use your site, HAVE to register to view MY home?

7.)  When you get emails, what would you say is the NORMAL rate of responding is? 

8.)  Do ALL of you agents have email?

9.)  Do your agents on their own, advertise on the Internet?

10.) Are my open houses advertised on the internet as well? 

11.)  Do you have high rankings on the internet? 

Any agent who is marketing these days - had better be able to anwer majority of the above questions.  If not - you should think about continuing the interviewing until you get ME.  :>

Do you know what percentage of your business comes from the Internet?

I get about 50%.  The other half is from referrals.

I thought hits were important too until another agent told me that sellers didn't care to hear how much attention their listings were getting on the Internet. hmmm.
