World Wildlife Fund is sponsoring "Earth Hour," an annual event in which communities turn out their lights for one hour to increase awareness of climalte change. They are asking individuals, businesses, governments and organizations around the world to turn off their lights for one hour – Earth Hour – to make a global statement of concern about climate change and to demonstrate commitment to finding solutions.

Awareness is necessary before change can occur. I know I no longer leave the lights on when I leave a room--that's why the switch is by the door. Little changes collectively make a big difference.
