Snow in March...Now I Feel Better!

We've had nice weather lately in NE Ohio, haven't we?  I mean, REALLY nice weather.  Highs in the high 50s or low 60s.  Sunny skies.  It is almost as if we are in the beginning stages of Spring!

But wait!  We live in Ohio.  In NORTHEAST Ohio.  Where we typically still have cold weather and snow for Mother's Day in May.  Yes, it stinks to live in an area where it is cold so much of the year but that's the way it is here.  And if you've lived here for more than a couple of years, you know that and are used to it.

I hate being cold.  My husband and I have often discussed moving to a warmer climate.  I mean, we've talked about it ALOT.  And yet, here we still live.

But you know what?  It's what I'm used to.  All that sun and warm weather in March.  That I'm NOT used to.  I don't like it.  It just doesn't feel normal.  Bring on the snow!  I'll feel much better then!

Renae, sounds like at some point you are itching to move to the warmer climes. There is a time for everything. Enjoy WHEREVER you are at.

Hi Renae - In 1979we had 6 inches of snow on April 26 in the Akron area.  It was gone by the next day!  So I guess there's still hope.  lol

You're right, Gary.  My husband wants to move somewhere warmer, too.  The problem is, our kids are in a good school system, we absolutely LOVE our neighborhood, and anything else is so uncertain.  So for now, we're planning to be content where we're at until doors open that say otherwise!

That's too funny Sheldon!  Bet you weren't expecting that!  Hope you get some time to play this weekend!

I don't know about hope, Jon.  Last year, there was definitely snow in April and it was still too cold for me to start my veggie garden by Mother's Day.  I'd say it is more like a certainty that the cold will return, am I right?
