One day when I was surfing the web about Lake Norman and Lake Norman real estate I happened upon this great website that sold fun and unusual Lake Norman stuff: LKN Merchandise.com. Since I am always looking for new and different types of locally owned and operated businesses to highlight each week I decided to email the company and find out more about it.
It turns out LKNmerchandise.com is the brainchild of a local firm: Artisan Signs and Graphics located on Old Statesville Road in Cornelius.
Owner Scott Crosbie was kind enough to meet with me and explain more about their company and the Lake Norman Merchandise website.
Artisan Signs and Graphics has been making high quality, custom signage for the greater Lake Norman and Charlotte area for over 15 years. But, it became clear to me while talking with Scott that this isn't just your typical sign company.
With in-house graphic designers and a lot of enthusiasm and talent they are willing and able to offer much more than just signs. Scott told me they can even take photos and make life-sized "fat heads" which are life-sized cutouts of a favorite football player or even your own child!
One of their designers came up with the idea of LKNmerchandise.com and they then set out to create some fun design options like the Vinnies one above.
This is a great example of their flexibility and interest in trying new things. From local schools, sports teams, clubs, churches and businesses, they can custom design and produce everything from T-Shirts to stickers. What a great local resource!
One of the best things about the Lake Norman Merchandise is that you can order any item in any amount and in any size and they will be shipped to you within several business days! Instead of having to buy in bulk and guess on sizes you can order only what you really want even if it is just one sweatshirt!
I'm already thinking about the potential for client gifts, T-Shirts for a local charity that I am involved in and even canvas recycle shopping totes for the Lake Norman Home Builder's Green Building Council.
I happen to live down Brawley School Road so I particularly like this design. However, I'm thinking I might have some made in 2011 that says:
"I survived the widening of Brawley School Road"
