"If you pride yourself on being an up and coming investor, you should make sure you know all of the investing options that are available to you," said Earl

Detroit, MI - Earl E. Bird, III, spokes person for the REITbuyer.com, was recently invited to speak to students at a local community college.  He was impressed when he found out how many young people are investing money in the stock market and mutual funds.  When he asked the group for a show of hands of the ones who were investing in real estate, not one raised their hand.  Earl was not surprised.  One student said, "No way do any of us have that kind of money!  We're students; we cannot possibly buy properties and manage them!"

Earl was thrilled with this comment, as it gave him the opportunity to teach the young people something of great value to them and to their future.  Earl began explaining what REITs are, "REITs were created in 1960 by congress to give everyone the opportunity to invest in income-producing commercial and residential real estate.  REITs are essentially real estate mutual funds, which I'm happy to see, a lot of you are already investing in."

Earl instructed those who brought their laptops to class to go to the REITbuyer.com website where investors at all levels can become educated in REITs.  "This is a site where you can learn all about how REITs work and how to invest in them.  The material is written to be easy to understand; even people who are very new to real estate investing can easily learn to utilize this information."

The students weren't the only ones who were impressed, as the instructor went to the site and discovered the valuable information that Earl pointed out.  The students groaned as the instructor said, "This week's homework is to write a 3-5 page essay on REITs.  Extra credit will be applied to those who make a small purchase and track the results until the end of the term."
