Whoa, Brett. How short-sighted the CEO of the smaller company was. Even if Network Solutions used a form email to respond to you (although, it doesn't look like they necessarily did), they handled the problem correctly.
Brett, not a very good way to put your company out there. As the CEO you have a responsibility to your customers - regardless of whether or not it is a paid service. Someone is paying (most likely adverts) and they certainly would not do so if the word got out.

Hi Brett ~ That's absolutely jaw-dropping. Really - my jaw hit my chest and stayed there as I read that reply. I think I would have posted the company's name since the needed attitude adjustment is so huge that drastic measures are called for. You've showed great restraint.
