So may sites, so many reviews. Some clients love writing them. Some do not. Out of the blue you can get a great one that makes your day. Then rarely, you get one that makes you ask yourself "what, why or who?"

A great review is a nice reward. Most clients we spend a great deal of time with. Constant contact for 2, 3, 4 months or more. Asking for a review is not always comfortable. Getting a nice one, can sure make your day.

The other day though I got a negative one. It was from a seller where everything went extremely well. See put a 1 star and left a glowing review. SO why 1 star? She thought 1 was better than 5 and then for good measure, the site would not let her edit her review. The 1 star spread like wild fire and the seller deleted it.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing in real estate for me is to provide great service. To stand out from the crowd by being there through each step of the buying or selling process. To commi message to share in Real Estate, is that my philosophy is simple, to provide more personal and professional service to guide clients through each step of the buying or selling process. All Agents are not created equal and every buyer or seller should take the time to hire the BEST not just the biggest.

You are describing the same thing that happened to me with an in-law of my brother's. Glowing review. One star. ????? I gave the in-law, a former seller, step by step instructions how to go in and edit it, since she didn't realize she had not filled them all in. She threw up her hands and just gave up. It's still there and baffling as can be.

I for one don't put stock in agent reviews. I've seen many in my area brag and I want to gag because lies is not my cup of tea. Talk about deception!

I would highly recommend buyers and sellers to contact you for all their real estate needs and not pay attention to the reviews.

I had one just like that - she thought 1-star was the best too, Scott! However, it was on Facebook and she had also written something nice so, I asked. She was, thankfully, able to go back and change it.

The good thing about having them on public-facing sites, is that the public believes them more than if you create a video and post it. That said, I've been trying to participate in Tammy's challenge and putting the online reviews into a video to share here.

Like Patricia Feager, I see that all of the time too. Some agents post the self-made videos and have more video reviews than they've sold houses in decades! We all know they're not authentic and actually joke about them but, it's still sickening nonetheless!

Now, we just have to figure out how the clients can make changes on some of these sites that won't allow them to go back and correct their entries.

It typically listings, best doctors, best lawyers, best realtors, etc. The problem is, the only people that get featured are ones who PAY to be featured. There's an agent I know who gets featured. She has money to be featured, but isn't the rock star, top agent she leads people to believe. I'm waiting for the day for a publisher to come out with a Big Fat Liar Magazine and consumers can pay for their own "Big Fat Liar," list of liars. Wouldn't that be something!

Oh, I would LOVE that, Patricia Feager - you have NO idea how much I would love that! Thankfully the bulk of people (especially agents who refer business) see it but, it still makes me sick!

Like the Business Journal's 'lists of...' a List of Liars would be priceless! Sadly, we as agents, can't name names but, that list would certainly be Karma, wouldn't it?!
